I’m Ready to Log It!

Think back to your childhood and remember the days when your dad might have taught you something that made an impression: riding a bike, replacing a tire, or teaching you to grill. Positive fatherly impact has been shown through studies to elevate engagement, self-esteem, and social skills.

So this week, take some time to think of three reasons why you are thankful for your dad or fatherly figure in your family and let them know how much they mean to you.

  8. Being one of three children in my family, the youngest and only girl, I learned a lot of what my older brothers learned from my dad! Car facts, hunting, fishing, grilling and enjoying the outdoors! I “hung” out with them a lot! My dad passed away in 1995 at the age of 82 and had been in a nursing facility for the last 10 years! He and I were very close and it hurt me terribly seeing him slowly leave us! I am grateful for the years I had with him but wished it could of been more! Don’t take your parents for granted and cherish every minute you have with them! Life is short! 💞
